On 15 and 16 June, the National Sisters Fellowship was held at Edinburgh Church. Led by Preacher Jacob Chen and Preacher Nissi Chin, the event brought together nearly 300 sisters for two days of spiritual cultivation, including lessons, prayer sessions, testimonies and hymn presentations. A short quiz added a light-hearted touch.
The fellowship provided a meaningful space for reflection, encouragement and unity, helping sisters grow in faith and commitment to God’s word and the household of God.

On 8 June, we held a Gospel Open Day, welcoming both first-time visitors and returning friends through personal invitations, street leafletting, and our banners and posters. Visitors had the opportunity to tour the church, join fellowship activities, and participate in drop-in belief sessions covering topics such as Introduction to the True Jesus Church, Water Baptism, Receiving the Holy Spirit and the Sabbath Day.
During these sessions, many questions were answered, helping to deepen participants’ understanding of our faith. May God continue to open their hearts and lead more souls to His truth and salvation.

On 1 January, we began the year with a heartfelt Thanksgiving Service, joined by our brethren from Glasgow. As we reflected on God’s faithfulness and blessings in the past year, we were uplifted by hymnal presentations from the various fellowships and RE classes. Words of encouragement were shared, filling our hearts with hope and determination for the year ahead. After the service, we enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by our brethren, strengthening our fellowship and sense of togetherness.

From 7 to 9 September, thanks to God’s guidance that a Spiritual Convocation was held with the theme “Separate Ourselves for Holiness” based on Leviticus 20:26. The speakers were the UKGA preachers, Preacher FF Chong and Preacher Steven Shek. This was the first time that we began our Spiritual Convocation on the Sabbath day. There were over 200 members in attendance, including brethren from other UK churches. May God remember the love of the brothers and sisters for their sacrifice and contribution during the three days of the event.

On 1 September, Edinburgh Church held its annual Religious Education End of Year Service, where students, teachers, parents and members joined to listen to words of encouragement. A teacher also reflected on her experience on helping at the National Student Spiritual Convocation this year. Thank God, the class presentations demonstrated the students’ growth in their faith and their learning about the words of God, through hymns of praise, student sharing and also a play about Queen Esther.

On 3 August, thanks to God’s wonderful grace on the Sabbath morning, Brother Layton Ho, Sister Lana Shek and Sister Elowyn Shek were baptised at Joppa beach in Edinburgh. The baptism was conducted by Preacher Joseph Shek and Deacon Ling Tao Shek. A number of our members also attended to sing hymns and praise. Thank God for guiding the baptism so that it went smoothly.

From 28 July to 1 August, Edinburgh Church hosted the annual National Student Spiritual Convocation for the Junior Youth Class. A group of 66 students attended from across the country and also from Ireland and Continental Europe. Thank God for a rich and edifying experience for both the students as well as team leaders who took their time out to help with the event.
