2025
On 27 September, during our one-hour monthly fellowship, we explored the fourth characteristic of the fruit of the Holy Spirit: longsuffering. In addition to learning about its meaning, we also shared how our patience can be tested and how to nurture this spiritual virtue during group discussions.
After the fellowship, both children and adults joined in preparing fish balls, dumplings, sushi and desserts for a lovely dinner together. We thank God for the opportunity to grow and share in both spiritual learning and joyful fellowship.
From 13 to 15 September, we held a Spiritual Convocation with the theme “Restore Us, O God” (Psalm 80:3). We were blessed to have Preacher FF Chong and Deacon Silas Chan, who encouraged us to restore our faith and relationship with God. Over 200 members attended, including brethren from other UK churches. We thank God for guiding us through these three days of spiritual cultivation.
A heartfelt thank you to all the members who offered their time and effort in various areas of divine work—may God remember your labour of love.
From 3 to 24 August, we thank God that 24 students from the UK, Europe and Taiwan joined Year 2 of the YTTC, held at Edinburgh Church with the theme Put on the Armour of God. UKGA and Canadian preachers taught from Ephesians, Philippians, Leviticus and an Introduction to the Old Testament, along with topics such as Literary Ministry, Basic Doctrines, Daily Living and practical door-to-door evangelism.
We are also grateful for the support of team leaders and local members, through whom participants were well cared for—both physically and spiritually—throughout the course.
On 29 June, we were blessed with a joyful church activity day at Vogrie Country Park. After beginning the day in prayer at church, we travelled together in two coaches, singing hymns with glad and thankful hearts. The Lord graciously gave us sunshine, creating a beautiful setting for games, fellowship and laughter. We shared picnics and BBQ hotdogs and spent a restful afternoon relaxing, chatting and deepening our connections with one another. It was a day filled with warmth, unity and gratitude.
On 15 and 16 June, the National Sisters Fellowship was held at Edinburgh Church. Led by Preacher Jacob Chen and Preacher Nissi Chin, the event brought together nearly 300 sisters for two days of spiritual cultivation, including lessons, prayer sessions, testimonies and hymn presentations. A short quiz added a light-hearted touch.
The fellowship provided a meaningful space for reflection, encouragement and unity, helping sisters grow in faith and commitment to God’s word and the household of God.
On 8 June, we held a Gospel Open Day, welcoming both first-time visitors and returning friends through personal invitations, street leafletting, and our banners and posters. Visitors had the opportunity to tour the church, join fellowship activities, and participate in drop-in belief sessions covering topics such as Introduction to the True Jesus Church, Water Baptism, Receiving the Holy Spirit and the Sabbath Day.
During these sessions, many questions were answered, helping to deepen participants’ understanding of our faith. May God continue to open their hearts and lead more souls to His truth and salvation.
