Here you will find reports and photographs from fellowships, special services, seminars and evangelistic events held at Edinburgh Church in recent years. We praise God for His blessings on these occasions, which have strengthened our faith, united us in Christ and spread the good news within our community.

JUNE
Edinburgh Church Activity Day June 2026
Church Activity Day

On 21 June, we thank God for the sunny morning as young and old gathered in the church chapel to begin our annual Activity Day. We started by singing Hymn 126 on Christian love, which set the tone for the day. Participants were organised into intergenerational teams and took part in various games and activities, interacting and working together throughout the event. Under God’s guidance, the day concluded joyfully with thanksgiving and fellowship among all present.

Fellowship with Brethren from Taiwan

On 17 May, one week after the Gospel Open Day, Edinburgh Church warmly welcomed six brethren from Taiwan for a blessed time of fellowship. Through hymns of praise and the sharing of heartfelt testimonies, they encouraged us to spread the love of Jesus and His gospel of salvation in our daily lives whenever opportunities arise. The fellowship concluded in a spirit of unity, with everyone joining together in singing “In Lord Jesus, We Are One Family”.

FEBRUARY

16th Adult Theological Training Class

From 16 to 19 February, over 55 attendees from churches across the UK gathered with a shared desire to draw nearer to God. Through teachings on topics such as “The Construction of the Temple”, “Challenges Faced by the Church from the Perspective of Acts” and “Activities Appropriate for Believers in Society”, participants deepened their biblical understanding and strengthened their personal devotion. Over these few days, they received meaningful spiritual nourishment and were better equipped to serve faithfully in their local churches.

JANUARY
Workers Seminar January 2026
Worker Spiritual Cultvation Seminar

On 11 January, Edinburgh Church held a seminar themed “The Spirit of Service”, led by Preacher Johnny Liu. The seminar was attended by church board members, fellowship leaders, team leaders and religious education teachers, with additional participants from Gifford Park and Glasgow. Through this seminar, we were reminded to examine our hearts and renew our commitment to serve with humility, love and unity. More than 130 brethren were present at the event.

Thanksgiving Service 2026
New Year’s Thanksgiving Service

On 1 January, Edinburgh Church held a Thanksgiving Service led by Deacon Chung Pok Chan. Deacon Ling Tao Shek encouraged the congregation with a message from the Scriptures, and various fellowships and religious education classes presented hymns of praise. The service concluded with a benediction by Preacher Joseph Shek. A commemorative group photo was then taken, followed by a fellowship lunch and a Bible quiz. Over 200 members gathered to rejoice together on the first day of 2026.

Sabbath Fellowship September 2025
安息日團契及活動

9月27日:在每月一次的團契中,我們利用這一小時探討了聖靈果子的第四個特質—忍耐。大家討論了其意義、耐心可能受到考驗的情況,以及培養此德行的方法。

聚會結束後,孩童與成人一同準備魚丸、餃子、壽司及甜點,共享晚餐。感謝神,讓我們在追求屬靈成長的同時,也能彼此交通、享受團契的喜樂。

Spiritual Convocation Edinburgh September 2025
Spiritual Convocation

From 13 to 15 September, we held our annual Spiritual Convocation with the theme Restore Us, O God”, based on Psalm 80:3. The event provided a meaningful opportunity for self-reflection, reminding us of the need to continually restore our faith, renew our relationship with God and take practical steps toward spiritual renewal. Over 200 members attended, including brethren from other UK churches. 

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who devoted their time and effort to various areas of the divine work—may God remember your labour of love.

AUGUST
YTTC 2025 Edinburgh
Youth Theological Training Course (YTTC) 

From 3 to 24 August, Edinburgh Church hosted the second year of the YTTC. A total of  24 students from the UK, Europe and Taiwan participated in the course under the theme “Put on the Armour of God”.

We are deeply grateful for the support of the preachers, team leaders and local members, whose care and dedication ensured that all participants were nurtured both physically and spiritually.

JUNE
Church Activity Day June 2025
Church Activity Day

On 29 June, we organised an activity day at Vogrie Country Park. After beginning the day in prayer at church, we travelled together by coach while singing hymns with glad and thankful hearts.

The Lord graciously provided beautiful weather, allowing everyone to enjoy games and fellowship. It was a warm and joyful occasion that further strengthened the bonds within the church family.

National Sisters Fellowship 15 June 2025
National Sisters Fellowship

On 15 and 16 June, the church was blessed to host the 34th National Sisters Fellowship. Led by Preacher Jacob Chen (Taiwan) and Preacher Nissi Chin, this two-day gathering brought together nearly 300 sisters for a time of spiritual cultivation and mutual encouragement. It was a joyful and uplifting occasion, allowing the sisters to experience the unity and love of being one family in the household of God.

Gospel Open Day

On 8 June, we held a Gospel Open Day, welcoming both first-time visitors and returning friends through personal invitations, street leafletting and the display of banners and posters. Visitors had the opportunity to tour the church, join fellowship activities and participate in drop-in belief sessions covering topics such as Introduction to the True Jesus Church, Water Baptism, Receiving the Holy Spirit and the Sabbath Day.

May God continue to open their hearts and lead more souls to His truth and salvation.

JANUARY
Thanksgiving January 2025
New Year’s Thanksgiving Service

On 1 January, we began the year with a heartfelt Thanksgiving Service, joined by brethren from Glasgow. Reflecting on God’s faithfulness and blessings, we were uplifted by hymns from fellowships and religious education classes and inspired by words of encouragement for the year ahead.  After the service, we enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by our brethren, strengthening fellowship and togetherness.

SEPTEMBER
Spiritual Convocation September 2024
Spiritual Convocation

From 7 to 9 September, thanks to God’s guidance that a Spiritual Convocation was held with the theme “Separate Ourselves for Holiness” based on Leviticus 20:26. The speakers were the UKGA preachers, Preacher FF Chong and Preacher Steven Shek. This was the first time that we began our Spiritual Convocation on the Sabbath day. There were over 200 members in attendance, including brethren from other UK churches. May God remember the love of the brothers and sisters for their sacrifice and contribution during the three days of the event.

RE End of Year 2024
Religious Education End of Year Service

On 1 September, Edinburgh Church held its annual Religious Education End of Year Service, where students, teachers, parents and members joined to listen to words of encouragement. A teacher also reflected on her experience on helping at the National Student Spiritual Convocation this year. Thank God, the class presentations demonstrated the students’ growth in their faith and their learning about the words of God, through hymns of praise, student sharing and also a play about Queen Esther.

AUGUST
Baptism August 2024
Baptism

On 3 August, thanks to God’s wonderful grace on the Sabbath morning, Brother Layton Ho, Sister Lana Shek and Sister Elowyn Shek were baptised at Joppa beach in Edinburgh. The baptism was conducted by Preacher Joseph Shek and Deacon Ling Tao Shek. A number of our members also attended to sing hymns and praise. Thank God for guiding the baptism so that it went smoothly.

NSSC July 2024
National Student Spiritual Convocation

From 28 July to 1 August, Edinburgh Church hosted the annual National Student Spiritual Convocation for the Junior Youth Class. A group of 66 students attended from across the country and also from Ireland and Continental Europe. Thank God for a rich and edifying experience for both the students as well as team leaders who took their time out to help with the event.
