Elgin Church Update 2026
The year 2025 is a special year for Elgin Church in that it is our church’s 40th Anniversary!
Spiritual Convocation and 40th Anniversary
On 6 to 8 July, Elgin held her 39th Spiritual Convocation and 40th Anniversary
Commemorative Service of the dedication of Elgin church. The theme was “The Shepherd Who Has Sustained Me for Forty Years”. We give thanks for His guidance throughout the years as we reflect on how the church has grown with His abidance. May God remember the workers for their labour to edify the congregation.
National Student Spiritual Convocation
Elgin hosted the Junior Youth Class for National Student Spiritual Convocation from 27 July to 2 August. It was a great blessing to see the young students come to learn God’s word and gain understanding of the faith, and we were joyful to see many students, including local youths, receive the Holy Spirit.
Visit from Pr Chi Chieh Huang
In October, Pr Chi Chieh Huang (Taiwan) visited Elgin Church. We were encouraged and reminded by the words that he shared with us during those few days.
As we look back over the years, it is by God’s grace we have reached where we are, have experienced many blessings and been preserved to overcome difficulties. May the church in Elgin continue to abide in God’s presence and grow in His truth and love.
