About Us
Early Beginnings
The True Jesus Church in Essex started with only a handful of brethren coming to have fellowship at a member’s home back in 2015. Over the past decade, more of our members relocated to Chelmsford from other cities, especially families who have moved away from London.
As the size of the congregation increased, the True Jesus Church in Essex began to hold weekly Sabbath services at various rented venues, such as university lecture rooms, meeting rooms at the museum of Chelmsford and the Sandon Village Hall.
Under God’s guidance, the congregation was officially registered as a place of
worship in 2018 under the pastoral care of the True Jesus Church in London. Our members from London are sent to Essex regularly to help out with the holy work in Essex. Additionally, Church Board members were elected to take responsibility for various holy works and RE classes were established.
Broomfield Road
By the grace of God, the True Jesus Church in Essex secured and purchased a building at Broomfield Road in the latter half of 2024. We truly give thanks to God for the smooth purchase and exchange of the building.
The first Sabbath services of the True Jesus Church at Broomfield Road was held on the 11th January 2025. We were blessed to receive additional visiting members, from various locations, to worship together with us on this special day.
