History of the True Jesus Church in Manchester

IN THE BEGINNING

In mid 1990s, Preacher Joseph Shek would go down to Manchester to carry out visitations for baptised members living in the Manchester, Warrington and Liverpool areas.

In Autumn 1999, 2 sisters and a brother would meet regularly at the Halls of residence for Sabbath services and at each others residences when Preacher Joseph Shek came to Manchester.

In 4th Jul 2002, by the grace of God, a flat in Manchester (32 Chevassut Street) was purchased and was the base for services. Over the years, there were many students and young professionals who came and went from various locations from UK, Singapore, HK ,China and Malaysia.

In 2008, there were many members from Fujian China and English and Mandarin were the main languages used. The membership started to grow the next few years and a larger building was needed.
