By God’s grace, Sunderland Church was able to host many events within the past year!
National Evangelical Group (NEG) Fellowship
Starting this year, Sunderland hosted the NEG fellowship on 24th-26th January. Although some attendees faced travelling challenges due to the weather, the diligent work of the Audio and Visual team members provided an online platform to those not able to attend in person. During this fellowship, many brethren were able to open up and share about their good practices and challenges faced in their experience of evangelism.
13th National Brothers Fellowship
On 9th-10th March, Sunderland hosted the 13th National Brothers Fellowship with the theme “For Brothers Dwell Together in Unity” based on Psalm 133:1. Many brothers of all ages and from around the UK were able to gather joyfully to fellowship in God’s house.
Spiritual and Evangelical Convocation
On 28th-30th June, Sunderland held her annual Spiritual and Evangelical Convocation with the theme “Fervent in Spirit, Serving the Lord” based on Romans 12:11. We were reminded to serve willingly and courageously with our hearts as this responsibility has been given to every believer.
We must have a balance between serving God and listening: if believers keep the word of God within their hearts, it will remind and help them as God works with them when serving.
Youth Theological Training Course (YTTC)
Sunderland hosted the YTTC for Years 1,3&4 on 4th-24th August. A total of 103 students attended from the UK, Europe and International churches, with 24 leaders and 5 preachers. The students were reminded from the theme to “Put on the Armour of God.”
During the three weeks, students carried out the work of evangelism by going door-to-door posting leaflets through letterboxes
