Timetable

About LMS

LMS offers workshop-based training for brethren to take part in the Literary Ministry. The timetable includes livestreamed lessons on the LMS theme, group discussions and peer review sessions via video conferencing. Classes will run according to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) timings.

Theme

This year, LMS encourages attendees to be lights of the world by supporting them to share the grace of God through writing testimonies to edify the church and to glorify the name of Jesus.

Writing projects

Attendees can choose one of two writing projects:

  1. Write their own personal testimony
  2. Write a testimony on behalf of another True Jesus Church member (with the member’s consent).

For your writing project, if you are writing another True Jesus Church member’s testimony, the LMS Planning Team will provide a ‘how-to interview’ guide to help you do this. You will also need to do the following actions so that you are ready to write their testimony during LMS:

  1. Ask for the other member’s consent to write their testimony before you complete this application form,
  2. Send a photo of the other member’s consent form to UK DLM or ask them to complete the online consent form,
  3. Interview the other member before LMS begins,
  4. Make any other necessary preparations (e.g. transcribe recordings).

You will need

  • Bible
  • Hymnbook (469 hymns version)
  • Handouts
  • Computer / laptop / tablet
  • Internet connection with adequate bandwidth to access and upload to the online folders during LMS
  • A quiet space
  • Headset (optional)

Attendee requirements

  • A baptised member of the True Jesus Church.
  • Aged 18 years old or older (underage youths will be considered on a case-by-case basis).
  • Proficient in spoken English.
  • Able to submit their writing project in English.

Registration notes

  • Online registration closes on Monday, 31 October 2022.
  • 40 places are available on a first-come-first-served basis – please register asap to avoid disappointment.
  • Registration is open to international brethren.
  • First-time attendees will be asked to submit a short pre-assignment in English to the LMS Planning Team, and their local church board member or preacher must submit their endorsement via the UK DLM webpage, in early November. Approved attendees will be officially informed by UK DLM by early November 2022.

After registration

Once registered, you will receive a registration receipt.

Approved attendees will be officially informed by UK DLM by early November 2022.

More information will be sent out after registration, including reading handouts and final timetable.

All first-time attendees will be asked to write and submit a short pre-assignment in English for the LMS Planning Team in early November. It is is one-off assignment, so you will not need to complete another pre-LMS assignment if you attend another LMS in the future.
